Room In Roof Insulation

Room in roof insulation

Do you have a room in the attic space of your property (similar to the image on the right)? If yes and it was built prior to the early 1980's then the likelihood is that it's got little or no insulation in the flat ceiling area above it, in between the gap of the sloping ceiling nor the vertical stud walls. If that is the case, we have funding available whereby we can insulate these areas in most cases for free!

With this grant, it's the property that qualifies and not the occupant, so you don't need to be claiming any benefits to take advantage of this grant! Please get in touch to find out if we can insulate your attic room now!
The graphic below shows an outline of an attic room and the areas that would be insulated under this scheme.

Cavity wall insulation

A cavity wall is present on most properties built between the late 1920's to the present day. Cavity walls are usually constructed of two layers of normally concrete blocks and/or bricks (dependant of year of build) with an air gap in between these two layers. As you can see in the illustration to the right, Cavity Wall Insulation is injected into this air gap to improve the property's ability to retain the heat that is generated from inside (likewise it helps keep the property cool in the summer). Please note that Cavity Wall Insulation is not for every property just because it's constructed with a cavity! A surveyor will need to visit the property to check that it is suitable to recieve insulation. In some cases, location can be a factor. In other cases, you may have damp patches that need addessing first.

If, however, your property is suitable to recieve the insulation and you would like a surveyor to visit, we have funding available whereby we can insulate these walls and in most cases for free! With this grant, it's the property that qualifies and not the occupant, so you don't need to be claiming any benefits to take advantage of this grant! Please get in touch to find out if we can insulate your cavity walls now!

Loft Insulation

Loft Insulation does what it says on the tin! We can insulate properties that are poorly insulated in the attic. Please note that the amount of funding for Loft Insulation is dependant on the amount of insulation that you have existing i.e. the least you have, the more likely it will be free or a just a small contribution. If you have between zero insulation or up to 4 inches of insulation, it's likely to be free. If it's any thicker than this then it's likely to incur a charge. Please get in touch to ask for advice and/or to arrange for a surveyor to visit. With this grant, it's the property that qualifies and not the occupant, so you don't need to be claiming any benefits to take advantage of this grant! Please get in touch to find out if we can insulate your attic now!
